It’s back again! Disney on Ice!

landing_kv

Our first encounter with the Disney Ice skating show was during the Disney on Ice – Treasure Trove. It was just so magical to be able to see many Disney characters “live” in front of you! And this coming March school holidays, they are back again with more favourites!

Disney On Ice Presents Magical Ice Festival from 11th March to 20th March 2016. The freezing great news is that the Disney show which rocked every radio stations, every TV screens, every household (especially those with little girls!) will be featured during the Magical Ice Festival! Yes! There will be special appearances from characters of Disney’s Frozen. I can so imagine what song will be ringing in my head after the performance!

Elsa

Besides the highly anticipated Elsa and friends, you can expect to see a medley of Disney movies characters from The Little Mermaid to Beauty and the Beast.

Belle and the Beast

My young boy, Xi En, has something about mermaids. He find the whole fantasy of mermaids enchanting and intriguing. But don’t ask him about it. He is too “man” to admit that he likes to read books and watch shows about mermaids. But I am sure he is looking forward to meeting all the favourite Disney characters at the rink again. ^ ^

With an extraordinary line-up of hit songs, memorable scenes and never-before-seen characters to look forward to, here are 10 magical moments behind Disney On Ice to get you all geared up for the show.

9. The youngest performer on this year’s show is 19-years-old and the oldest is 44-years-old

  2. Ashton likes the story of beauty and the beast. This story had been downloaded in our ipad since 2 years ago, when he was 2. He keeps on replaying the story and he had memorised the story so hard! And I will always teased him that mummy is the beauty and is he the beast. He gets irritated and is very fun seeing him trying to reason it out that he is not the beast. It’s strange that he seems to have a fondness on the beast and say the beast is a nice man.

  3. My little one love to “sing”, dance and play along with Mickey Mouse and his friends in Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Then he found joy in “singing-along” videos on Frozen. He can repeat each song about 5 times a day and still want more.

He’ll be thrilled to meet his beloved Queen Elsa, Anna and Olaf in person. I’m very excited about it too!

Thank you for the giveaway! Really hope to win and bring a smile to his face.

  4. My baby boy fell in love with Olaf when he watched the movie Frozen. When he saw the poster for Magical Ice Festival, he immediately asked me to let him go for the show. He likes Olaf because he is funny and carefree and loves singing. One of the songs my son likes is the one about summer. Olaf is also able to stay calm and relaxed in the face of danger.

  6. Ever since Ethan was a baby, he have been exposed to Disney charaters. From rompers to booties to toys to cartoons, it’s a part of him everyday! He gets to know more and more about the different Disney characters day by day as he grows. From Mickey and Pals to Cars to Rapunzel to Frozen or even Baymax, he basically recognize everyone of them and seen their cartoons.

Every year he had been asking to watch Disney on Ice when he saw the posters and advertisement on TV but as we have a younger child, we always have to explain to him that we can’t go for that year becos little Bro is not ready. This year little Bro, Athan is turning 4 years old and likewise as Ethan, he was introduced to Disney characters when he was a baby. I am sure he is now ever ready for this magical performance and will enjoy himself throughout the whole show. It will be his 1st experience watching Disney on Ice and seeing the characters come to live singing and swirling on the Ice right in front of his eyes. Furthermore, it’s his birthday in March, this will definitely be a wonderful birthday surprise for Athan as well as the long waited wait for Ethan.

Hope we will be the lucky family chosen. Apologise for my long entry and thank you for reading!

Through the frozen show with our explanation, she learnt the true meaning of family kinship. Now she’s very protective over her brother, always putting him in mind.
It is truly a educational and rewarding show.

  17. We ( My two lovely girls + Me ) love Disney very much , especially the most ionic Disney character which is in red shorts with white buttons , white gloves & large yellow shoes as well as his round mouse ears ➡ YES , MICKEY MOUSE !

Mickey Mouse is the very first cartoon character introduce to me . I like the fact that he can be forgetful , but extremely imaginative . Mickey can also be very competitive , stubborn & never backs down from a challenge , even when his opponent is twice his size . Moreover , he’s incredibly noble & generally puts the people he loves in front of his own well being .

Everyday my two girls MUST watch [ Mickey Mouse Clubhouse ] in YouTube , somehow it becomes their daily routine . My 6 years old elder girl told me that Mickey Mouse is so human ! How she wish he really exists in real life …..

Thus , I hope to win this for her to let her see Mickey Mouse performing just infront of her ! I bet she’ll be over the moon !!!!!!

  18. Jayyee enjoys watching or reading Snow White and the seven dwarfs multiple times because she found that Snow White has a wonderful personality- she’s just too sweet, kind, caring and classy. The quietest, gentlest, nicest and youngest Princess, she is an optimist who always sees the glass half full and always has a kind attitude, no matter now horribly people may treat her. The very epitome of an old-fashioned romantic, Snow White is very faithful and never stopped hoping one day she would meet the man of her dreams to who bring happiness to her lonely life, (at first) devoid of any family that actually loved her. Snow White sees beauty in all, almost to a fault, who always tries to do what she thinks is right, even if it may get her in trouble. She has the best character traits of all the Disney girls. Jayyee wants to be like her, with sweet and kind personality. Hope to win to let her watch the Disney characters live!

The song “Let it Go” is such an earworm-inducing track! It’s so addictive that my sons wake up singing every morning. My elder son simply loves princess Anna and hope to see her live on ice!

  20. I always like Disney. The reason is I can use the values portrayed in each and every Disney character to inculcate some values to my daughters. One Disney character which left a very big impression on me is Mulan.

Back in the good old days, Mulan is not a Disney Princess. In fact, she is a fictitious character mentioned in books which emphasise on filial piety. Quite some time back, Mulan was featured as one of Disney Princess, bearing the same concept on filial piety. I took the opportunity to buy some Disney storybooks and the Mulan DVD for Seraphina, when she reached 4.

Through the DVD and books she or rather I read to her, Seraphina likes the rugged Mulan, a heroine who fights victorious wars. In fact, Seraphina’s character is just like Mulan, feisty, gregarious and tough. Since she likes to impersonate Mulan, I began to drive home the message about filial piety, why she joined the army and why she had to dressed up like a man. Seraphina enjoys the story very much, knew the reason why Mulan is like a boy.

As Seraphina grows up, she understood the meaning further. As a 9 year old now, she is respectful to her elders and know her own boundaries as a child

When she was 4, she will tell me to pass her my army uniform so that she can attend in camp training on my behalf. Now, she tells me when she grows up, she will buy us a Bungalow so that we can aged comfortably. I wonder what she will say when she reaches her teens.

  22. I had exposed my toddler daughter to the song “Let it go” from the movie, “Frozen”, on YouTube, when she was just a 16 month old. She gave me a surprise when she suddenly was able to sing part of the chorus out of the blue when she reached 18 months. This is the first song which she “sang” (and she is still bursting into the chorus every now and then) and the song naturally holds a special spot in my heart. Queen Elsa is her favourite character and “Let it go” is our favourite song (current one, anyway!Haha) to sing together.

Now that my boy is 5 and my gal is 3, they are still holding on to these 2 sets every night, insisting on reading them before they dozed off. And because we have been reading repeatedly, they are now able to read the content to each other 🙂

  28. My girls are huge fans of of Disney characters. My big K loves Mulan and Belle for their courage and filial piety towards their fathers. Small K likes Elsa, for her magical power and Ariel, for her singing. It is very interesting to see how Disney can showcase different personality traits and even some important values through their stories and characters.

I think the it would be a very exciting experience for the both of them to see Disney On Ice this year especially since Elsa will be featured. I think not just for them, I would be very intrigued to see the ‘live’ performance of the ‘Let it Go’ song happening on the stage.

Hope we will get a chance to watch it. Thank you.

  31. My girls made me took many videos of them reenacting their favourite scenes of singing “Let It Go” in the movie before they shortlisted their super fave clips as a memento. The song is also their first ever to have managed to sing in one completed piece together as sisters! I was glad at point of time when I get to know they had something common in interest! Cos Jie Jie is more lady-like while meimei is more tom-boyish.

  34. Frozen are both my boys’ first Disney show and especially the songs are their Favourite. They can request to watch the same show each week (as we restrict their tv time) without getting bored. The elder one (4 this year) can tell u what will happen next at each scene.

The most epic scene that happened was when we were at a friend’s house and the brothers were playing my friend’s kids in their room. Suddenly the little one (2 yr old) started humming a tune followed by a loud “Snowman” (he was dancing too while humming) then I realised he was mimicking the Anna singing to Elsa at the door. Really amused and amazed by his actions too!

Both of them really love Anna and Olaf, really hope to have the opportunity to bring them their and the tickets would be a very good birthday pressie for them! My elder one’s birthday is in Feb while the younger one’s birthday is in Mar!

Really hope that I can win them for them!!! Thank u for hosting this giveaway too!!
